Beyonce’s Metallic Glove: Love it or Hate it? Vote Now!

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

Wearing one glove may be a trend that Michael Jackson launched back in the ’80s, but it looks like Beyonce is putting her own twist on the look. Since launching her “Single Ladies” video last month, the R&B star has been wearing the custom-made titanium Lorraine Schwartz mechanical glove on- and off-stage as her alter ego “Sasha Fierce.” Though the glove is a “fierce” on-stage prop, we aren’t sure it translates into red carpet fabulous. USA Today readers agree. More than 700 weighed in and only 4% coined it a “fun new trend”. Now we want to know what PEOPLE.com readers think. Do you like Beyonce’s glove or do you wish she would ditch it? Vote now!

Behind the Scenes of Cassie’s Stylish New Video

Meeno Peluce

In the video for her new single “Official Girl,” Cassie revs up the fashion glam and tells her dude to kiss off! Shot in Los Angeles, Cassie says the video concept revolves around being totally fed up with a game-playing guy. “I’m finally tired and over it,” she explains. “I take some crazy pictures and make sure he knows what he’s missing!” What guy wouldn’t think twice after getting a glimpse of the looks Cassie rocks in the video? Says Cassie, “I wanted this to be a very stylish video. I wanted for a guy to see it and say ‘Oh, I want to be with her,’ and for the girls to say ‘Oh, I would definitely wear what she wore.’” Cassie’s stylist Marni Senofonte added “elements of unattainable, yet attainable,” with funky pairings like a La Perla top and bottom with a men’s jacket and a pink Vivienne Westwood dress with Dsquared patent leather heels — and don’t forget the True Religion denim, Givenchy boots, a Dolce & Gabbana windbreaker and Marc Jacobs shades. And, of course, the best element — lots of skin. “My greatest asset is my legs,” says the songstress, who sports mostly super-short outfits in the video. “I don’t have cleavage [so] I’m going to work with what I got!” Click here to check out the full video on mtv.com.– Jessica Herndon

Madonna’s Tour Look: Sticky, Sweet And High Fashion

Frank Micelotta/Getty

The chances of Madonna coming out with a new look for her tour may be the safest odds we’ve ever taken — but we’ve still been on pins and needles waiting to see it. Her Madgesty’s long-time costume designer, Arianne Phillips gave a sneak peek to WWD of the costumes for the Sticky & Sweet tour launching this month, and it’s a treasure trove of high-end design styles! Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci contributed several outfits, while Tom Ford provided bespoke suits for the band. Miu Miu and Stella McCartney are responsible for shoes, Moschino for the sunglasses, and sundry other pieces are coming from Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli and Jeremy Scott. The first set of costumes reference both gangsta style and Art Deco with the pieces from Givenchy. Phillips tells WWD, “She’s not afraid of being hard.” Next up, ’80s-inspired pieces with vintage Keith Haring prints, gypsy costumes from Givenchy, and ending with a futuristic rave with a Japanese touch. As for Madonna’s affiliation with the young Tisci for her costumes, Phillips explains “Riccardo’s a new young talent. If you look at Madonna’s history with fashion, that makes him an obvious choice.” We say what’s so exciting about Madonna is that nothing is ever the obvious choice. Jennifer Hudson’s $36 Album Cover Dress!

The Oscar winner has worn everything from Oscar de la Renta to Donna Karan, but for the cover of her new album, which hits stores in September, Jennifer Hudson proves that she’s no fashion snob, opting for a simple $36 glitter-striped American Apparel dress. Bargain hunting’s nothing new to the “Spotlight” singer, who readily admits to an obsession with affordable British chain Topshop. But while the cotton dress may have been a bargain, when it came to accessorizing the look she went decidedly high-end, glamming it up with a $475 LAI Vamp belt. We think Jennifer’s cover frock is even more flattering than some of her designer dresses (Oscars anyone?). And what we love most is that it’s a look we can get too! Click here to buy J. Hud’s dress at American Apparel. Interested in more affordable star fashion? Check out other star styles under $100 here including looks from Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Carrie Underwood and more.

Sneak Peek: Kylie Minogue’s Jean Paul Gaultier Tour Costumes

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty

Not to be outdone by Cavalli or Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier is the latest designer to lend his couture expertise to create custom-made costumes for a singer. The designer has created eight haute couture looks for Kylie Minogue’s “X” world tour that kicked off last night in Paris. Kylie opened the show in a purple chiffon gown from Gaultier’s 2006 collection that was completely couture modified to fit her. Some of her other dazzling outfits include a blue and white “K” logoed cheerleader- and football-inspired outfit complete with padded top, shorts and high heel sneaker shoes. She also showed off a long red satin dress, an equestrian-inspired look that included a black long tailed coat with fringe and over-the-knee leather boots, a sexy Geisha outfit with long Swarowski crystal mesh sleeves, a long turquoise gown with coral heart embroidery, a navy sequin sailor outfit, and finally a crystal embroided corset and black satin pants. With all these amazing costumes, we can’t decide which one is our favorite — maybe the Geisha? Tell us: What costume sounds best to you?
