Gwyneth Paltrow: The New Face of Tod’s

Lionel Cironneau/AP

Gwyneth Paltrow has been on a hot streak since she turned up the sex appeal while promoting Iron Man. She not only has looked totally glamorous in Chanel and Lanvin at Cannes, but she also announced her newest role while at the festival — the face of luxury brand Tod’s. At a party in her honor in Cannes, Gwyneth tells PEOPLE that she loves working with Tod’s, “I felt immediately like they brought me into their family.” And the feeling is mutual — Tod’s CEO Claudio Castiglioni tells PEOPLE exclusively that “She is an icon, she has beautiful manners. She is super sweet, funny, intelligent, opinionated, very diplomatic. Honestly, I need to find a defect because I start to fall in love, too!” We can’t wait to fall in love with her ads when they break this fall, and in the meantime, check out the short film that Gwyneth stars in for Tod’s at tods.com.

Gwyneth Chops Off Her Locks! Love It or Hate It?

PA Photos /Landov

Gwyneth Paltrow may be known almost as much for her iconic stick-straight, ultra-long locks as her landmark roles, so when the Oscar winner showed up to The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards in London just hours ago in a new shoulder-grazing tousled do we couldn’t believe our eyes. We love how Gwyneth’s updated look lends her the same graceful elegance but with a modern spin — but we want to know what you think. Tell us: Do you like Gwyneth’s new shorter hair, or do you think she should have stayed true to her trademark style?

You Asked, We Found: Gwyneth Paltrow’s Bag

Gardiner Anderson/ Bauer-Griffin

Could you tell me where to find Gwyneth Paltrow’s bag on the PEOPLE’s photos from Feb 1st?– RR

Gwyneth Paltrow tried to keep a low profile as she stepped out to visit to the local Kabbalah center in Manhattan wearing dark black shades, long black coat and jeans. But her fabulous Balenciaga Luna bag was a definite attention getter. We first saw the Lune bag last summer when Ali Larter started toting an all-black version all over L.A. But we think we might love Gwyneth’s brown and black choice even more. For the real thing, at a whooping $1845, contact the Balenciaga NYC store at 212-206-0872. For something a little more affordable, check out our top picks below!

Beauty Trendwatch: Deep Red Lips

We’ve been spotting red lips pop up on everyone from Cameron Diaz to Beyonce, but some stars are taking the look one step further with a dark crimson. More dramatic and edgy than the old Hollywood scarlet lips, these dark reds are turning up on the mouths of trendsetters like Kate Winslet, Ashley Olsen and Gwyneth Paltrow. Not for the weak of heart or the imperfect of skin, a color this dark has to be worn carefully — try a nude lip liner underneath to keep it from creeping and a hit of blush to keep you from looking like Elvira is key. Just remember to keep eye makeup to a minimum to amp up the hit of color on your mouth.
