Hot Shoe Alert: Madonna Takes Aim With Her Chanel Pistol Heels

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

The fashion world was abuzz after the Chanel Cruise 2009 collection showing — who else but Karl Lagerfeld would think to make stiletto heels actually lethal? The pistol-heeled shoes were a fashion favorite, but would anyone be brave enough to wear them on the red carpet? Well, Madonna has never shied away from starting a new trend or wearing a bold look, so the Material Girl hit the red carpet of her Filth and Wisdom premiere last night, sponsored by the Cinema Society and Dolce and Gabbana, in the gun-heeled shoes. We think it’s great that at 50-years old Madonna is still rocking the newest and coolest straight from the runway, but we want to know what you think! Tell us: Do you love Madonna’s heels or hate them?

Sorry, they are tacky. Doesn’t matter who is wearing them.

i have to agree they are tacky, i dont think there is a way to make these heels look wearable.

Mary

Anything promoting guns is just terrible - we have enough violence in this world

LBW

Pretty ugly. Try getting on a plane wearing those.

Hannah

I would consider those shoes more as art than as actual wearable fashion. They belong behind a glass case, not on somebody’s feet.

April

I think the shoes should be looked at as high fashion. They are great! very brave madonna

Amy

Saw these in silver in the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar - I don’t know, I guess they’re pretty rock & roll, but I’m just not loving them. I love the shape of the shoe but the heel may be a bit much, even for me.
