Lauren Conrad Reveals Emmy Dress Details

Matt Sayles/AP

Lauren Conrad gave ETonline.com a little bit of a sneak peek on the dress she created for one of this year’s Emmy Awards presenters. The designer reveals that she chose to do the gown in green to go with the theme of this year’s show. The Hills‘ star also added a diamond broach to the dress to symbolize the Emmys’ diamond anniversary. And while Lauren won’t be matching her on-stage creation exactly, she does reveal that her navy gown is made of the same fabric and will also have diamond broaches on it. We can’t wait to see what Lauren has planned. Tell us: Are you going to tune in to see Lauren’s creation?

I would love to tune in to see LC’s creation, and from what I’ve heard, it sounds great! I love LC, she’s so sweet! Team Lauren the whole way! I’m glad she’s still close with Heidi Montag’s sister, Holly, but it’s cool that it won’t bring her closer to her ex bff!

Allison

Absolutely!!! I love Lauren & her designs are fab!

AL

Lauren has alot of talent and doesn’t OVER expose herself. I can’t wait to see her design on the Emmys.

I plan to tune in…or catch it on the Internet. I am eager to see the dress to see if it will actually be…not boring. I love LC, but the clothes in her line can be kinda boring and overpriced. I can’t wait until the show end, but not because I hate watching it (I’m ADDICTED). I just think that once the show ends, she will perhaps have more time to concentrate on cultivating and marketing her talents and abilities instead of her personality.

Rebecca

Yes!

Dorothy

How “original” green with a diamond broach!!!!! If I tune in it won’t be to see what sort of plain boredom she had put out for everybody to endure throughout the whole award night.

BIGirl

Lauren is too young to be trying to design mild mannered classics. She needs to get a bit more dynamic in her designs and colors. Most of what I have seen from TV and magazines is just very boring and docile. She should take some of her “Hills” drama and add it to her designs.

Abs

I realize this is insanely picky and YAY for LC being productive and creative.

Shouldn’t a style editor/journalist know how to spell brooch? I know, I’m anal but I felt I had to BROACH the subject on brooches because it just made me twitchy.
