What Do You Think of Emile Hirsch’s Quirky New Look?

Eliot Press/Bauer-Griffin

Emile Hirsch is a lot of things — a certifiable action star (hello, Speed Racer!), a Screen Actors Guild award nominee — but one he isn’t yet: a style star. Sure, that may not be a legitimate expectation for the 23-year-old actor who roughed it for his role in Into the Wild. But Hirsch appears to be trying to change all of that. Witness the glam-Western inspired getup he wore to Valentino’s spring menswear show recently — he is also the face of the line for the Spring 09 collection. You have to appreciate that he made an effort past his typical uniform of jeans and a T-shirt, but we can’t help but think that Hirsch missed the mark by trying to go too high fashion all at once. And here’s what really stings: He has the raw materials — never mind the acting chops — to be the full package: a brilliant actor and a head-turner. Tell us: What do you think of Emile’s look? Is it hot? Or does he need a makeover?

Dita Von Teese on Life, Love and Lingerie!

Donato Sardella/WireImage

She may be known for how little she wears on stage, but at last night’s W Magazine screening of Battle in Seattle in Malibu, burlesque star Dita Von Teese gave PEOPLE a backstage scoop on her life, love, and soon-to-launch line of lingerie. “I work a lot. I’m traveling all the time, so I go to a lot of parties and events and I have fun. My work is fun,” says the former Mrs. Marilyn Manson. And while she is dipping her toe into the dating pool again, finding a man is not a priority at the moment. “I just work a lot, and fortunately work for me is a lot of fun. Along away I meet a nice gentleman to go out with once in awhile — actually they’re not gentlemen at all.” In addition to her party-hopping, Dita is working on an appropriate new line of apparel. “I have a lingerie collection coming out for Wonderbra only in Europe,” she tells us. “I’m really excited about that.” And fortunately for us, she’s not counting out bringing the collection to America after the September launch. “I think it’s a really beautiful collection,” she says. “People are really excited about it. So we’ll see.” Tell us: Would you wear Dita’s signature line of lingerie if it launched in the U.S.?

Stars Turn Out for Charity — And Shoes!

Branch/McMullan/Sipa

As Becki Newton stepped inside the Christian Louboutin boutique in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night, the wide-eyed Ugly Betty star told PEOPLE, “[This store is] very dangerous!” Felicity Huffman would know. Within a half hour, the Desperate Housewives actress had already bought two pairs of the pricey red-soled shoes at the party, where guests also purchased products from French skincare line Darphin to benefit P.S. Arts. “I got a pair of boots that I’ve been eyeing for a year and a half that I almost bought for my birthday, but I was like, ‘I can’t buy Christian Louboutin shoes, I can’t!’ And so I went in and I got them, which is very exciting,” said a giddy Huffman, who picked out a pair of “Wizard of Oz sparkly shoes” too. Does her hubby William Macy support her shoe habit? “Yes, I do!” assured Macy. Meanwhile, Newton, who drooled over the ankle boots, snagged a pair of platform sandals instead. Other guests included Steven Cojocaru and stylists Elizabeth Stewart and George Kotsiopoulos. – Jenny Sundel

Sara De Boer/Retna

She’s spent over 15 years in the fashion business, and Heidi Klum’s career — and life — just keep picking up speed. The model and Project Runway host talked with BellaSugar.com recently about her philosophy on life, style and living with kids. While a full house, famous husband, and bustling career leave Heidi busy, she’s found the secret to keeping life in balance. “My first priority is always my children and my husband,” she says. “Everything else has to come second or it just doesn’t work.” But that doesn’t mean Klum is slowing down with her enterprises. In addition to a line of jeans for Jordache and a signature jewelry collection, Klum has just launched cosmetics line In an Instant.
