No more John Mayer, no more brunette locks? We can’t say for sure that Jessica Simpson’s breakup triggered her going back to blonde, but who hasn’t changed up their look post-relationship trauma? Wearing a second-skin Herve Leger gown, Jessica showed off her new (old) hair while promoting her upcoming movie Major Movie Star at the Cannes Film Festival. We thought at least she would transition her locks slowly back to blonde, but — boom! — she’s back to her old look just like that. We think the dark honey blonde suits the star, but what do you think? Tell us: Do you like Jessica as a blonde? Or did you like her better as a brunette?

– BEYONCE, taking an afternoon tour of Parisian boutiques (while on her European tour). According to onlookers, she found nothing to her taste at Yves St. Laurent but left Christian Louboutin’s Les Halles shop clutching a pair of the designer’s heels. The singer also hit up Lacoste, Catherine Malandrino and Bruno Frisoni — all in less than two hours! Lucky for her she had a bodyguard to bring her a cappuccino in the car.

– RACHEL BILSON, dipping into popular L.A. boutique Milk where the former O.C. star loaded up on Loefffler Randall Red Leather Twist sandals for $322 and a Bensoni-Tiered Striped top in grey/white for $219.

– DENISE RICHARDS, shopping for her daughters, Sam, 3, and Lola, 1, at Lisa Kline Kids. Sporting a Rebecca Taylor white dress, the actress, with kids in tow, hosted a private shopping party with Kline. As a bonus: 10% of the sales of the day went to charity. Not bad, considering Richards alone spent $2,400 in the store!

– MELANIE GRIFFITH, successfully browsing at the James Perse Malibu Boutique. She walked out wearing a James Perse Long White Zip Hoodie and Tank.

– KYLIE MINOGUE, going on a shopping spree at New York’s What Goes Around Comes Around. The petite fashionista must have a passion for vintage: She scooped up a ’70s gold lame mini-dress, a Courreges rainbow stripe short sleeve sweater as well as an assortment of vintage concert t-shirts. Also hitting the vintage mecca: WINONA RYDER (who purchased the “Begonia” dress) and SELMA BLAIR (who walked out wearing the “Ivy” black and white striped long sleeve dress).

– JESSICA SIMPSON, doing some damage at Henri Bendel in New York. The singer took home: Susan Daniels Gold Jeweled Headband; 3 Lavender Girl bronze headwraps; Lavender Girl double strand headwrap; and a Revitalash Eyelash Thickening Treatment. Meanwhile, former American Idol champ CARRIE UNDERWOOD also enjoyed a successful trip to the midtown store, picking up Twill 22 cargo shorts, an Anna Sui floral scarf print top, among other fun finds.

Tuesday night’s opening party for the new Serge Normant at John Frieda salon in N.Y.C’s Meatpacking District was a star-studded affair — long time clients Ellen Barkin and Sarah Jessica Parker hosted the hair guru’s shindig. “I started working with Serge about nine years ago and have never not worked with him since,” Sarah Jessica Parker told PEOPLE. “As much as he is available, that’s when I use him. He and I have traveled the globe.” However, she added, he’s so busy that she’s sometimes left wanting. “Japan is the one place he hasn’t been able to travel to with us. Once he was on holiday, and you can’t argue with that, and the other time he was working with Liz Hurley doing her wedding. That’s my unfortunate timing.” And she’s not alone in counting on the star stylist. “Serge is behind every hairdo I’ve had for 15 years,” admitted Ellen Barkin, including her new super sharp, short bob. “I’m very hair-brave. I don’t get proprietary about my hair like I know a lot of women do. I’m always urging him to cut it, snip it, change it. The only thing I won’t do ever is grow it. I’m very anti-long hair after a certain age.” Luckily, the West Village resident will only have to stroll a few short blocks to get her hair snipped by her favorite guy!

After seeing Kellie Pickler’s new asymetrical bob this week, we couldn’t help but wonder if the blonde was just trying to distract from the controversy surrounding her, uh, inflated assets. But at the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Kellie set us straight. The Season 5 American Idol finalist told PEOPLE, “Yes, it is new! I just wanted a change. I don’t believe in the saying ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ because there is always room for improvement! That’s my motto.” So, tell us: Do you think Kellie’s new do is an improvement? While some of his other cast mates are making headlines in New York, T.R. Knight was keeping a low profile in Hollywood until we spotted him with a new, very bright, hair color. The Grey’s Anatomy star took his natural brown locks to pink! The show is over for the season after last night’s finale, so no chance of seeing a pink haired Dr. George on set. Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time T.R. went outside of the box with his hair color– around the same time Grey’s filming wrapped last year, the actor went blue! Maybe it’s a summer look.
