Trendwatch: Patterned Driving Caps

Stars like Sandra Bullock, Jessica Simpson and Naomi Watts may be trying to stay incognito with their caps pulled over their famous faces, but their classic style is hard to miss! If you’re not ready to retire your warm winter hats, this is a perfect way to jump into spring (try a cotton version if it’s already warm where you are). And the patterns add a burst of fun to a solid-colored outfit.

Bright Idea: Spray Foundation

I hate the feeling of caked-on foundation so when I heard about Dior’s AirFlash, I had to try it. It was a little scary applying foundation like hairspray to my face, but it was suprisingly airy and fresh! It didn’t get on my clothes or hair and was easy to blend with a brush. The mother of pearl pigments felt light and soft on my face, and after about eight hours of dinner and dancing, it still felt like I had just applied–no running down my face, cracking or clumping. It’s no wonder Emmy Rossum refuses to wear anything but AirFlash. It can be bought at sephora.com for $60 a bottle. Would you try this spray foundation? I promise, once you do you’ll be hooked!- Andrea DeSimone

Hot Shop: Chloe Sevigny Hits Zadig & Voltaire

We spotted indie-actress Chloe Sevigny at the hip new Los Angeles boutique Zadig & Voltaire last week. The beloved French brand is a recent transplant to the US, and of course, trendsetter Chloe is already hitting it up. During her visit Chloe snatched up basic cashmere sweaters, tuxedo pants, a sequin vest, ballet flats, boots, a leather handbag – even a necktie (a favorite of two other LA girls)! The Sunset Blvd. haunt is also a favorite of fashionistas like Eva Longoria and Milla Jovovich. Check out their entire collection here. If you like what you see on the site but can’t make it to to the shop, call 310.358.9616 to order anything by phone.

The $42,000 Louis Vuitton Handbag

Louis Vuitton bags are notoriously expensive, but what gives with a $42,000 price tag?! The Tribute Patchwork Bag carries such an unbelievable pricetag because it is made out of actual pieces of old bags–different styles Louis Vuitton has done through the years– and those fragments are sewn together by hand. Right now, the Patchwork bag is considered just a form of art and there are only about two circulating in the whole world and are made to order. Is one of those going to a star — maybe Louis Vuitton collectors Paris Hilton or Kimora Lee Simmons, who reportedly has the largest LV collection in the world? We wouldn’t be surprised. Tell us: If you could afford it, would you want this bag? What is the most you would ever pay for a purse?

Get the Look: Hayden Panettiere’s Favorite Sweater Dress

We love it when celebs wear the same thing more than once — especially if it’s something we can (almost) afford. Heroes’ star Hayden Panettiere lit-up the red carpet at the Television Festival in a white and gold Suzanne Juul sweater dress. We saw her wearing the same one in red to an NBC event in January! The knit scoop neck dress is pretty universally flattering, so if you’d like to snatch up her look, visit shopintuition.com where you can find it in red or navy (the white is not up yet but will be soon) for $285.
