Spring Cleaning? Donate Shoes Like Scarlett Johansson

Not only did Scarlett Johansson officially launch her new line for Reebok in L.A. Thursday night, but the news came out that the actress worked with Reebok to donate 2,000 pairs of shoes in her name to benefit Soles4Souls. The Reebok donation will be going towards the Million Pair March campaign that will benefit the refugees of the Sudan and the surrounding areas. Founder of Soles4souls, Wayne Elsey, stood up with the star yesterday to acknowledge the major gift, saying “Thank you Scarlett for your generous donation — your work with Reebok to assist 2,000 people with the gift of shoes will be remembered forever.” If you’re thinking about spring-cleaning, you too can donate shoes to Soles4Souls — click here for more information on soles4souls.org.

i just love her. i participated in a “sleep in” for the night commuters of Uganda, held by the Invisible Children filmmakers. it’s wonderful to see celebrities participating in causes other than their own. The world is finally seeing the autrocities that are going on in the Sudan and Uganda, as well as other places, thanks to the likes of Ms. Jolie, Mr. Clooney and Ms. Johansson. Keep it up guys! Everyone likes to copy celebrities!!

What a great cause. You’re right, Spring cleaning is here, and this is a good time to donate some belongs. I always do this around this time of year, actually I donate a few times a year. I have a lot of clothes and shoes, and instead of throwing stuff like that away, I always donate it to the Salvation Army. (I just moved and donated a slew of clothes and other items to the Red Cross and Salvation Army). This Soles4Souls in a wonderful idea. I know that I have a few pairs of shoes, and I know some others that may interested in this. It’ll be great shipping since I live close to one of the facilities. I also love the idea of purchasing shoes, and they’re great prices too. They look like great shoes too. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Scarlett is such a sweetheart. For anyone to donate and lend their time, gets an A+ in my book.
