It’s always sweet when siblings appreciate each other’s taste, but in the case of the exceptionally talented and charming Gyllenhaals, it’s extra adorable. While big sis Maggie was wowing on the Oscars red carpet, Jake was in New York shopping up a storm at celeb-fave An Earnest Cut & Sew, denim brand Earnest Sewn’s store in the trendy Meatpacking district. But this week, Maggie returned by herself to pick up the exact same items as Jake — as birthday gifts for fiancé Peter Sarsgaard. Unfortunately, the store had already sold out of the Andrews flannel shirt that Jake had purchased, but Maggie still managed to snag a limited edition Filson Rucksack, a Davidson Cap and a Wilson Neckwarmer for her sweetheart. At least the boys won’t match at family gatherings!

Vanessa Minnillo has been working very hard lately. Besides hosting TRL, being an ET correspondent, the new face of BONGO JEANS and flying around the world with her pop star boyfriend, the MTV beauty is now designing a makeup line for Flirt! cosmetics that will debut in August 2007 at all Kohl’s Department Stores. Of her new gig Vanessa says, “To me, makeup is all about trying out different looks and colors. Flirt! is the ideal platform to do that, as it allows me to have fun with makeup and experiment with color.” And what colors are her favorites? Expect Vanessa’s Flirt! line to deliver lots of reds and pinks for next fall. Would you wear makeup by Vanessa?

Who says swag suites are all about getting? Becki Newton, who plays deliciously catty Amanda on Ugly Betty, donated a silk green and white Diane von Furstenburg wrap dress (size 0, of course) to Working Wardrobes, a nonprofit organization that helps at-risk men and women move toward self-sufficiency with everything from job training to new clothing. Newton brought the dress to the Luxury Lounge’s Marie Claire gifting suite and explained its special meaning: she’d worn it for her Ugly Betty screen test. “It was her lucky dress,” said a charity rep. “She knows how much confidence the dress gave her, and she wanted to give that to someone else.” Other donated dresses included Debra Messing’s white drop-waist number by Ports (size 4), along with styles from Debra Messing, Adriana Barraza and Lisa Edelstein. All items will be auctioned off during the launch of Working Wardrobes’ eBay store on June 1, 2007. Until then, visit workingwardrobes.org for more information.

Victoria Beckham has been busy getting ready for her and hubby David’s big move to L.A. later this year — shopping up a storm, dining at the Ivy with Katie, even dying her hair blonde. And now David is tipping his hat to the move to L.A. — literally. Hobbling on crutches, Becks spent the day with Posh in Madrid sporting an L.A. Dodgers cap (we love that it coordinates with his natty scarf.) Get a hat just like David’s at lids.com, $20.
