Would You Wear Sheer Hose Like Katie? Or Go Bare Like Posh?

Posh and Katie are at it again! Back in Paris where we first noticed their budding friendship last fall, the ladies are in town for couture week and the BFF’s headed out to an Armani store opening together last night. Though both women were wearing elegant black dresses, there was one major difference between their looks — Posh went for bare legs while an Armani Privé-clad Katie covered up in sheer black stockings. Though the nighttime Parisian temperature was near freezing, we can’t imagine wearing sheer black hose! We would either go for bare legs like Posh or choose opaque black tights. What about you? Would you wear sheer hose like Katie? Or do you go for bare like Posh?

Get Drew Barrymore’s Golden Globes Look

The inspiration behind Drew Barrymore’s gorgeous Golden Globes look was really quite natural: “I was inspired by the opaqueness of a pearl,” says the star’s makeup artist, Gucci Westman of Lancome. “Nothing too soft — I wanted to play with highlight and shadows.” Westman used a Lancome palette #2 from the line’s latest collection to create the look. “It has a silver, bronze and a pinky color for the inner corner of her eyes. Then I rimmed it with a brown liner.” As for Barrymore’s hair, Giannandrea for L’Oréal Professionnel decided on an updo as soon as he saw the star’s Dior dress. “The angelic Botticelli look was my inspiration, and I wanted to use combination braids — and Drew told me she was thinking braids too.” Adds Westman: “We were all on the same page.” If only it was as easy to create her striking pink Dior gown at home.

Predict-a-Gown: What Will Jaime Pressly Wear to the SAGs?

Usually when she hits the red carpet, Jaime Pressly shows off her incredible figure in curve-hugging gowns, but when the My Name is Earl star hits the SAG awards on Sunday night, she will be almost seven months pregnant! Not that we don’t think that she couldn’t still pull off clingy, but we had a few more traditional gowns in mind for the mom-to-be. We loved her in eggplant Badley Mischka at the Emmys so why not keep the hue in this simple Alberta Ferretti? Or stick with the designers and try this flowing goldenrod Badgley Mischka gown? She could work with the major white trend in this Marchesa gown or go the other way in this delicate Erin Fetherston. Tell us: what do you think Jaime should wear? Who are you excited to see at the SAG awards?

For all the award show gossip, check in with our Red Carpet Confidential blog.

Outrageous Fashion and Mega-Stars at the Paris Couture

These days, any custom-made gown is called “couture”, but true haute couture is produced by a few select members of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris, who keep alive the traditions of custom-fitting and hand-sewing every piece. When the incredibly detailed and expensive designs are unveiled to some of the wealthiest and most famous women in the world, the result is more about spectacle than wearability. The stars have been turning out for the Spring 07 shows happening this week in Paris, starting with Monday’s geisha-themed Christian Dior show, where the impeccable Dita Von Teese and Diane Kruger perched in the front row. On to the Valentino show, where Dita reappeared and the Italian couturier sent out an all-white homage to his one-time client Jackie O. Victoria Beckham caused a paparazzi frenzy at the Chanel show, where she was joined by a diverse group from starlets Kate Bosworth and Diane Kruger (again) to a pink-tressed Rachel McAdams and Sigourney Weaver. Later that night, Posh continued on to the Jean Paul Gaultier show, where Dita Von Teese walked the runway as a modern Mary Magdalene.

Best Dressed at Sundance? Zooey Deschanel!

Most of the actresses that PEOPLE has talked to at Sundance have bemoaned how hard it is to look cute in the frigid conditions (the wind chill in Park City is in the single digits), but Zooey Deschanel is managing to rise above the temperatures and still look as adorable as ever. No Ugg boots and parkas for this actress, who is at the festival promoting her new film The Good Life. From her shimmering silver sheath and white horse-bit pumps to her green boots and striped knit dress, this actress isn’t sacrificing any of her signature vintage style for comfort — and we think she looks just great. Tell us: what do you think of Zooey’s style?
