The Red Carpet Dress That Looks Good On Everyone

Who could ever imagine one dress could look great on Raquel Welch, Jennifer Hudson and Angie Harmon? Donna Karan, the designer who has been committed to making women look good for over 20 years, that’s who! Her wool jersey wrap dress with a bold gold buckle looks amazing on these three beautiful women even though they have such different body types. We love how each woman picked the version that was best for them, too. Raquel Welch showed off her famous curves while keeping her arms covered — as did Jennifer Hudson, who put a younger twist on the dress with her shorter hemline. Angie Harmon boldly took the plunge in her down-to-there halter. Is this really a dress that flatters all body types? Hey, if you have $2995 to spare at a Donna Karan store, you can find out for yourself. (Dress sadly not sold online.)

What Was Mary-Kate Thinking?

If you’re asking yourself what is that wrapped around Mary-Kate Olsen — a tablecloth? a blanket? a grunge-inspired toga? — you’re not the only one. Turns out that it’s actually a $1700 wool wrap dress from the Marc Jacobs fall collection. We have some serious doubts about the dress itself, but combined with the naughty-librarian platform loafers and a beaded evening bag, it’s a head-scratcher of a look. We won’t even talk about the scrunchie in her hair. All in all, we think that no mega-bucks designer dress should ever be confused for a hastily tossed-on blanket. Tell us: What do you think of Mary-Kate’s outfit?

Sienna Miller’s Early Spring

When we first saw this photo of Sienna, we were in love with her necklace, but then after a few more looks, we realized that is actually part of her Pucci dress! From the line’s Spring 2007 collection, this dress is actually a taste of what’s to come in fashion this spring. Soon, you’ll be hearing a lot about “Futurism” as the new theme in fashion — from Sienna’s metallic “neckpiece” to the robot-like gold armored leggings from Balenciaga (for a cool $20,000, no less), metal is the hot motif for spring. Once again, we can count on Sienna to set the trends (although everyone else can feel free to keep their pants on). Now, we want to know when the weather will warm up enough to start wearing spring clothes?
